Cool ^_^ I don't get to go to the movies much, I hope I don't miss it there, but at least now I know it'll be on DVD later this year. Bit shotty them having a screen in Sydney on ANZAC day 0_o Not many people would have gone.....
But has anyone actually seen it?? I wanna know what it's about, I have 2 Tales from Earthsea photo holders on my desk holding purikara, and I don't even know the characters name XD

Licensing problems are in the way of a North American release of Tales from Earthsea, with the Sci-Fi Channel, which released the miniseries Legend of Earthsea in 2004, currently holding the rights to the property. Under the current situation, the film cannot be released earlier than 2009, when Sci-Fi's rights expire.
UK DVD releaser Optimum will release an English subtitled, region 2 DVD for the UK market in the summer of 2007. It was later confirmed it will be released on August 3, 2007.
In Australia, Tales from Earthsea premiered in Brisbane on April 15, 2007. The film began a single print tour of major cities on April 25, 2007, currently scheduled to play at locations in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth over the coming months. A DVD is set for release in late 2007 or 2008.

omg, ohkay, I've known about this movie for ages, and am WAITING SO INSANELY for it be come out here>.<
It's the new Studio Ghilbli movie, directed by Hayao's son, so I'm pretty exicted.
I'm sure a few of you out there have seen it, and I want you to tell me if it's good?? What's it about? Is it as good as the other Ghibli movies etc?
