An Anime convention? WOWIES! Damn... sometimes living in the UK sucks >.
Before you worry about tomorrow with your head down...
Be what you wanna be today. Keep on going strong, and it'll all be good.
Even turn sadness into a wind.

well, obviously it was like an anime convention that was on in New York on the dates Del posted. Naturally I could not attend because I live on the opposite side of the world :)

Over 15,000 fans attended this years anime festival in New York, many of whom were adorning Naruto or Gothic Lolita cosplay outfits. According to all accounts the convention went smoothly, with most venders making out very well due to high sales.

Tokyopop had something interesting to offer, "The Gothic & Lolita Bible". They even held a tea party to promote it! The bible has a focus on Goth-Loli clothing.

Anime's soon to come are:

Kyo Kara Maoh, an anime that is already showing in Japan.

Fate/Stay Night.

Genei Muso, manga from the same creator as fruits basket.

(and more...)

Read the original article from Publishers Weekly to get more details!

Has anyone from Anime Cutie ever been to a convention?

Tokyopop was also promiting their Manga Sutra, a sex manual!
