High School Wars

Ren glanced at Akito. He seemed to understand what Akito was going through. Mostly because Akito seemed to be looking at the girls, trying to solve some mystery of some sort.

He kind of understood Akito, although he wasn't around as much as he could have been, he cared about the three of them and to know they were in some sort of danger and he wasn't there, really upset him.

Sighing he looked at the two silent girls. They just seemed to seperate themselves from the two boys but he couldn't understand why. Desperately trying to understand what had changed he thought over the past in his head. But nothing stood out.

As Eris's grandfather spoke, he sighed, leaning back and waited for the answers.

Akito stayed silent as he waited for the answers to at least unravel even slightly. Everyone sat in awkward silence as Eris's Grandfather drove the back to his place. It was a long journey and he had to beg the question. 'Would it be worth it?'.

But he knew he couldn't doubt himself he had to be strong, especially for Hana and Eris. Even Ren seemed in shocked. Eris's grandfather turned the radio on to cover up the awkward silence that filled the car.

Nickleback, Rockstar played, and Akito swayed and sung silly, gaining a few smiles. He didn't mind being laughed at as long as the others were happy. Keeping the Charade up he waited until the reached Eris's Grandfathers house.

He was curious about how much Eris's grandfather knew. Why hadn't he told the four of them? The kids from the other school already knew of the powers they possessed, so why did he wait so long to elabourate on theirs? He had a lot of questions to ask when he got there.

(Everyone has gone quiet so I thought I would write a bit more... Seeing as I have some great ideas for my character! Come on Saturn Sensei... return to us! We miss you!!!)

Arriving at the house, Akito followed behind his friends and Eris's grandfather. They walked into the living room, where Eris's grandfather proceeded to ask them if they wanted any drinks or food.

Akito had a lot of trouble waiting. He was anxious, not only because of the powers but also because someone was after the girls. Could they be after Ren and him as well. He didn't know, but what hurt the most was that these girls had been having trouble for a while, they knew something and never told him or Ren. He wanted, no needed to be able to protect them.

Finally Eris's grandad sat down. "Now where do I begin..."

Endless Rain is a brilliant yaoi, it has a good way of showing what happened with no graphics on the personal parts of the characters. Loved it....

(I’m really, really, really, sorry I took so long to post. School’s been a malicious beast and I have spent most the last few days trying to keep my head above water—figuratively speaking of course).
Eris put away her phone and shrugged, “Not much. He did say he knew about our powers, but beyond that nothing.” Eris paused for a moment to think and then added, “then again, he sounded kinda worried. This whole power thing had him spooked—badly—usually he’s pretty open with Byre and me.” Eris fell silence under the demanding gazes of her friends, and then shrugged again, “I wish I had better answers, but…well I guess we’ll going to have to wait until my grandpa to show.”

In the background, the sound of a car pulling up in Hanajima’s driveway filled the air as the engine beginning to idle Eris heard her grandfather distinctive voice carry over the noise and winced. I’m really going to get an earful later she thought a familiar resignation filling her. Turning to Hanajima and others she said sheepishly, “Well, that’s my grandpa. Better hurry he doesn’t like waiting,” and started toward the door.

Akito shrugged. "I don't know. I just knew something was going on..." He answered his attention aimed at Eris. He was as confused as Eris and the mystery was getting more harder by the second..

Ren nodded in complete agreement laying a hand on her shoulder. "It is alright Hana,.." He sat down still with his hand on her shoulder. "Well if they are after us because of this....magic...or whatever it is...how did they know we possessed powers... unless they have one that can sense it....... Which means they could follow us everywhere. And we could never know....."

he took a generous bite from his sandwich.... "Okay Eris controls..??? I dunno what you did.......I don't know about me or hana but Akito, you somehow knew they were in the building...so what pulled you to it? A higher spike in abnormal energy? Blood? Could you grandfather know exactly what we have?" He asked trying to solve the mystery. "I am getting more annoyed the longer the mystery lasts...."

Akito nodded. "Alright we are going to have to be extra careful that none followed either of us...I don't want to be ambushed by them about something I have only just found out. And I am sure you don't either." Walking over to the fridge he got out bread, cheese and pickle... "We will have something to eat before we go...I have a feeling by the time we even comprehend what is going on it will be late in the afternoon."

Handing everyone a sandwich he sat down. "What exactly did your grandfather say Eris...did he give even a hint of ...well whatever is going on?"

Eris smiled at Hanajima's concern and said, "I'll be fine, Hana. The worst he can do at this point is ground me." Turning to face Akito and Ren she added, "Compared to the alternative if you guys hadn't found me when you did, I'll survive." After a short pause she pulled her cell phone and dialed her grandfather number.

After a few rings someone picked up the phone, "Hello, Himamori residence, who am I speaking to?"

Eris breathed a innerward sigh of relief she recognized her grandfather voice and replied, "Grandpa, it's me--Eris. I'm at Hana's house and..." but her grandfather cut Eris off before she could finish his voice was heavy with disproval,

"Eris, where have you been? Your grandmother and I have been worried sick. Byre has been looking for you all day, we were about to call the police." Eris cut her grandfather off in turn and said, "That's what I was going to tell you, grandpa. After I dropped Byre off at home, I went that other school across town, because they had sent Hana and me some weird note. I got ambushed and next thing I know I'm back at Shojo with a girl named Azura trying to shoot fireballs at me. Hana and Akito and Ren show up guided by some weird feelings none of them understand and then somehow I flood the gym." Eris paused to catch her breath and then added, "I thought you might know something about what happened to Hana, Akito, Ren and me." There was pause an the phone line after Eris finished. "grandpa do you know about what happening to us?" Eris pressed real panic in her voice now. if her grandfather didn't know what all this was about then who would?
After an even longer pause, her grandfather spoke his voice was tired like he carried heavy weight, "I do. I will come and pick up you and your friends. Once we are safely home, I will explain to them why have these abilities." With this Eris click and her phone went dead.

Eris turned Hanajima and other and said, "Well, my grandfather coming to get us and..." she added almost as an afterthought, "he knows about our powers."

Akito nodded. He knew Hanajima was right. "You seem to understand a bit more then us three Hana, you take the lead. Eris will have to face up to it, if her grandad even has a chance to save us...would you rather face them, or you grandad?" He stood behind Eris placing a hand on her shoulder. "Don't think I am pushing you...I just don't want to face something I can't even understand."

He looked for the understanding he needed. He got recognition but it was good enough. Washing out his cup he walked to the doorway. "Let start moving if your ready Eris... Let us see if we can beat them and step two places ahead of them on the game board shall we?" Smiling he held out his hand. "Let us stick together on this one... and no matter how hard they try, let us stay good friends and get our selves out of this mess."
