O_O......interesting...i wonder who wrote this originaly...whoever it is either has very strong views or no social life whatsoever tehe ^^

well i guess that it does have a point...hmm...i come from a sorta semi-christian family (meaning we celebrate xmas because we get presents and easter for the chocolate eggs ^^) and to be honest i dont get it...i have many complaints when it comes to the bible and stuff like that but meh...what do i know?!?!?! basicly yeah....that post is right

random thought...most people think of god as an old guy wearing a sheet or something along those lines...well...how about god being a guy/gal wearing jeans...sat at a computer and using his/her heavenly high speed broadband to spy on us all using his holy 1000000001 megapixel webcam...now thats a thought...hmm...i wonder if god likes green or blue better......

Is it just me or is Christianity the ultimate in Emotional Abuse?

Imagine a father telling his children this:

"You are bad. You are so bad that you should be sent far away to a place where you don't get to be around your nice Daddy who loves you. You deserve to be tortured until the end of time, and to be miserable.

"But Daddy is nice. i'm so nice that I'll give you a 'free gift.' I won't let you be tortured by strangers. Remember: You don't deserve to be happy, so I'm a wonderful father to do this for you.

"Daddy had to pay to give you this gift, though. Because you broke Daddy's rules, Daddy was whipped, and beaten. You caused Daddy's pain.

"Daddy won't make you pay for the gift, though. Isn't Daddy generous? In order to give you this gift that you don't deserve in any way, Daddy needs you to do some things.

"Daddy needs you to say that he is better than you in every imaginable way. You have to admit that you are horrible and that you deserve to be tortured.

"You have to follow all of my rules. Oh, I know you'll break them. You're a bad person. But every time you break them, you need to be miserable and beg for my forgiveness. You cannot question my rules, because I'm such a better person than you. I'm only doing this because I love you so much.

"In fact, every time you doubt Daddy, or break Daddy's rules, you are torturing Daddy. Don't you love Daddy? Aren't you greatful that Daddy loves you enough to let you live with him and not give you to strangers to torture?"

Such a man would deserve to have his children taken away from him. It amuses me that we hold ourselves to a higher standard than we hold an omnipotent being to.

I know a girl who converted to Christianity after going to college and finally escaping her abusive parents. After she became an athiest, she told me that she joined the church because she missed her family, and for some strange reason Christianity felt familiar to her.

I have to agree with this post.

If the Bible is true, then God is definitely an abusive father.

NOTE: Again, I did NOT write the above post. Also, I am NOT trying to attack Christianity. Please do not send me flame letters and death threats -- they will be ignored, and reported to the admins.
