If you mean obsessive, as in stalking you sorta thing, that's a sign to get out, no matter how nice he is. However, I highly suggest you, as said previously, try to talk it out, if it works, great! If it doesn't, perhaps try once more? It's probably just a me thing, but to me, if someone wants to spectate your every move, they either adore you to such a frightening level you should probably run, or, don't trust you out of their sight. Neither of which are good things, but like I said, that's probably just me.
