No, Archer is a character, so is Ar.. errr.. Saber, Sorry I have a bad habit of calling servants by their identities, like this one time I called True Assassin Altair! :P There are classes, Lancer, Assassin, Berserker, saber, Caster, Rider


Riders are somewhat weaker, but have( or usually) excellent mana control and have very extinguishable features

Casters are weak phsyically, but make it up with spellbinding grand phantasms and spells, and an almost unlimited knowledge in them

Sabers are the most elite of the classes (and the hardest to summon, apparently in afew instanticies the master died summoning a saber class) and have the highest ability, theres are only five sabers on the epic spirit repetoire

Berserkers are brutes, vicious and almost uncontrollable in nature, they come with the 'mad enhancement' which increases all of their abilities in exchange for their mentality (friendship, ability 6to distinguish between foe and friend) but they are rather hard to handle, since of this, there are some people however, that can control a berserker completey (Example: Ilyasvielle, she and Herc get along great! :D.. lol!)

Assassins are like ninjas, assailants and cut-throats, quick and agile... they are intent on killing and have the highest speed in all of the classes, True Assassin is part of this class, but 'True' is to extinguish him from another servant who poses as Sojiro Sasaki

Lances are agile and quick with their hands, they are usually from spanish, irish, celtic, slavic, or german lores. They're grand phantasms use the ability to propel their spears and lances at great speed and impale the enemy, My character Zhao Yun is part of this class! ^^
