Lynne, slowly raising her head to look back up to the clock, the ticking was knocking through her head, echoing through the large, empty room. She looked about at the reception desk to see if it were occupied with staff before standing about, waiting to be accompanied. She could see the head receptionist drinking a coffee as he leaned back on his desk. Turning back to her table, Lynne uncrossed her ankles and cleared her throat as she screeched back out of her chair and pushed it back under the table. She swept her long ponytail back over her shoulder and pushed up her glasses as she leant to collect her books and stacked them in her arm and picked up her bag and hung it over her shoulder.
She rolled her eyes up towards the high ceiling to see the rain crashing loudly against the glass windows upon the roof as she made her way towards the desk to take out her chosen books.
Lynne brightened her eyes and smiled as the receptionist turned to assist her.

Walking towards the exit, she opened the welcoming door and stood outside under the roofed entrance and looked up at the sky, it was black from the dark clouds that covered the city like a blanket. Lynne took off her specs and folded them to put into her bag safely.
She did not have an umbrella, and her apartment was too far to walk alone in the dark, heavy rain, so she looked out towards the road which was directly infront of her, hoping for a cab to stop by. She took out her cell phone and covered it from the wind which sometime blew the rain in her direction, and checked the time.
