Isabella was in the orphanage again, sitting quietly on her cott, head hung and listening to the banging rukus on the other side of her door. The children continued to pound it as an attempt to bash it in. The door creaked almost giving.
"WITCH! We know you're in there!" The older clidren called while the younger ones were heard echoeing their calls and taunts in the background. Bella said nothing, just sat there, accepting her fate, never crying but used to the torture. She wasn't a very good magician she needed to sharpen her skills. After tonight she'd leave. More bangs, the door started splitting at the hinges. Bella panicked on the inside but kept her composure. The door gave, and she sighed sadly the older kids with busted toys to hit her with moving in. closer and closer.

Bella shot up from her sleep, the blankets sprawled over her and captured her like a net as she struggled to escape them her breath still coming in quick gasps. When her head finally peeped out from under the blankets she realized it was still night. Tracing some of the scars on her arm half heartedly. There were lots of them, most on her back but all hidden from view by her clothes. It was good that way Bella didn't want that kind of attention. She sighed and stared up at the ceiling unable to fall back asleep.
