I didn't really like it, truthfully.  The battle system wasn't too good, and the Gambit wasn't too fun.  What's the point of playing a game if you can program your character to do it for you?  That's just me, though.

In the battle system, you move around freely, but you still have a wait bar.  It's still Final Fantasy, but it limits everything that is in all of the other games.  There's no combos, like on Kingdom Hearts, and you have to run from an enemy until your time bar restores.  I beat the game just to see the ending...  Graphix are awesome, though.
