She felt them more than saw them, their dark wings sending a shill down her spine as they past by in the shadows. The world seemed to shudder slightly, gaining a black-like quality. The shadows intensified around her, almost like a wave of blackness as they whispered threateningly past her.

Traxexx stopped mid-sentence, spinning on the spot to look in the direction the shadows had disappeared. Something was wrong, she started running.

She sprinted through the bushes, her training as a woods guide taking her far ahead of the centaur and the elf behind her. She darted inbetween huge oak trees and around slippery patches of moss, always heading in the direction of the shadows. Before she knew it, she came skidding to a halt infront of a slow stream, the shadows were nowhere in sight.

She heard a sound a soft distance to her left, and when she look, she saw something she hadn't expected. One of the fey. She hated fey, all drow did. She crept closer, but was unable to remove the snarl from her lips.
