Card Captor Sakura (Cardcaptor Sakura or sometimes in america Cardcaptors) was an original manga series from CLAMP that has enjoyed a long publishing history, 2006 being its tenth year. An anime series based on the manga aired between 1998 and 2000; though consisted of 70 episodes totaling three seasons. 2 anime movies based on the manga have shown in theatres. The manga is published in japan by Kodansha and is translated into english by TOKYOPOP. In north america the series was imported as "Cardcaptors" but recieved incredible opposition from original manga and anime lovers as having undergone too much editing and poor translation.
