I feel like this whole conflict has caused us to forget what the purpose of Anime Cutie is. Anime Cutie, while beginning as a place to post wallpaper, has evolved into a forum where people could come, discuss anime and/or manga, create roleplays, share anime and manga related news and more recently talk and socialize on the Live Chat. But with these changes the focus/purpose of the site shouldn't change. Anime is primary what brings people to this site and such the composition of the site should logically reflect that. Recently though the composition of the forum has been consumed by the relationships between the members rather than anime or manga. I realize people do not live in a vacuum and they feel and hurt, but that fact aside, the forum as whole should not be completely driven by the latest emotionally trauma. Speaking of the latest of these traumas, I feel that I must pose the question of legacy. What kind of legacy did Polaris want to leave behind? I doubt that he would want the forum, a place he regards as second home, and its members, Admistrators, Moderators, and regular members all dear friends to him consumed strife and conflict. I feel that, being one of those dear friends, he'd instead would want everyone to continue living their lives and remember him fondly without sorrow. |

StyX : I agree in part saturn. The thing that everyone is getting upset about is that they dont know why Polaris had to leave. I realise that not many people know the true reason and asking an admin to explain it to them will get a negative response. I also know that the not wanting to answer is respect on their behalf, and that they(the admins) dont want to badmouth Pol, but lets face it, this silence to the rest of the community is whats causing all this strife. I just want Del or one of the others to consider what would happend if they told everyone their reasoning, what would happen to everyones view and maybe, just maybe, the forum would all quiet down a bit knowing the reasons behind Pol's dissmisal.
I believe you are aiding a small ammout to the conflict by bringing up legacy and everything left behind. I know the combined respect for Pol on the forums, but maybe its better to leave everyone to their own vices rather than get the emotion of the masses up.
