Chapter 2: It all falls into place.........

Thones had not been in a capital in little over a year. Resigned here and there. Now, finally, for the first time in little over a year, he was going to the capital. “So what are you gonna do when we get there Colonel?”, asked one of the solders setting next to him on the cart. Thones smiled.
“I'm gonna find the girl I left behind.”, he said pulling out a photo of Hope, “Hope Darlington.”
“It's just like you Colonel! Go for the girl!”, said anther. He laughed, but his heart was telling him how much pain it was to stay away from her. He couldn't stand to go one more day without seeing her smile, or look into her brilliant chocolate brown eye's.
'Come on Thones just a little bit longer', he keep telling himself, 'She's been wanting to see you just as bad as you.'
“Last stop, Capital!”, yelled the driver. Thones, even thought he was the oldest of the men, was the first out. He looked around, of any sing of his darling Hope. There was none, and by the time he decided to go look for the others had left. He could feel, just for a shot time, his heart braking. Every step he took closer to the flower shop was painful. Had she found anther? Would she really be that curl to rip his heart out like that? He couldn't take it, he was going to run the rest of the way.
He burst thought the door and yelled, “HOPE!”, at the top of his lungs. He closed his eye's, and hung his head in shame when there was no response. He turned to leave, and a delicate hand was place on his shoulder. He turned, and a smile speed across his face. His darling Hope, and a precious son in her arms.
“You've gotten bigger.....”, she said looking at him, “..........when you left you were skinny, and now.....now you have muscles.”
Thones smiled as he took her in his arms, “I thought I would never see you again.”, he said looking down at his new son. He had a small puff of blue hair on his head, and large blue eye's. Almost the same shade as his fathers.
“Well..........your here and I've missed you so.”, she said laing her head on his chest, “I would have wrote to you, but you left with out giving me you number.”
“It wouldn't have mattered...........I was increased in rank, and number changed.”, he said closing his eye's.
“Yes........I see that.”, she said sadly. It finally occurred to him.
“Hope........how could we have a son? We only spent that one night together on the balcony.”, he said anger could be heard in his voice. That when it happened, he met how Hope had a son.
“Oh darling.....Who's this?”, asked a voice from behind. Thones turned to face him. He was no taller the Hope herself, with light blue hair, and beady green eye's. Thones felt his heart break completely as he turned to face her.
“You couldn't have waited till I came back?”, he asked holding back a sudden urge to rip her throat out, “You couldn't have waited for me? On that balcony that night were you just tricking me? You never really loved me did you?”
“Oh please and like you weren't?”, she said letting out a small puff of air.
“What i said i meant! I could love no other, and still could love no other, as i do you!”, yelled Thones, “I should have know.........you were just playing me as a fool. No that's a lack of a better word, a puppet.”
Thones didn't wait for her rebuttal, he just stormed out. He had recently received an application for testing of some sort. With the war getting as bad it was they needed to test new thing and such. He had filled most of it out, he just need his signature. 'It seems the one I thought was my true love played me as a fool. I could always sing up for this testing.......then at lest I won't ever have to come back to this town ever again. No that's taking the easy way out......I need a drink', he thought walking to the pub. He ordered haft pint, and looked at the application. He had a choice to make. Right now he was getting no wear fast, and need to live up to his own father's name. That was before he was murdered when Thones was ten. Thones picked up the drink and took a swig, and then dug in his robe for a pen.

Thones was going into the lab for his first screening. Every other time he was there he would be asked a set of yes or no question's, and now was really being tested. They had made him change out of his uniform, and was now in a hospital gown. He didn't really like it, but it was all he could do. He played with one of the strings on the gown as he waited for the doctor. The doors flew open when Thones was about to fall asleep. “Colonel Thones?”, he asked pulling out a small shot with a red medicine in it. Thones nodded, and the doctor put the shot into his right bicep. Thones tensed up when the needle entered, but soon found himself getting very sleepy. The next thing he know everything was dark.

“Were..........were am I?”, asked Thones setting up. He looked around, and rubbed his arm, “Looks like........a battle field. How the hell did I get here?”
Thones pulled his hand away from his head when he felt it getting wet. Blood. It was on his hand. Thones jumped and looked at himself. As a matter of a fact he didn't even have a shirt on, instead he wore a shirt of red. “This.........this isn't mine.......then........then.........I killed.”, he said looking around again. There were feathers around him. Black and blood stained, the wind carried them away.
“What am I............no the better question is who did I kill?”, he asked himself getting up.
“Congratulation's.........Lieutenant General Thones. You have become what we need to win this war.”, said a voice from behind. He turned around, and eve thought he didn't know it his eye's went red.
“I've become what you need to win this war? What the hell did you do to me!?”, he yelled jumping for the man. Thought he went through him.
“Hologram........they come in handy.”, said the man, “Come to the debriefing room, we have someone for you to meet.”
Thones nodded and stood up, but when he did a hell of a pain shot through him.

Because of what had happen Thones was reduced to a pair of tattered pants and no shirt. “Thones we would like for you to meet Dark gem.”, said a man in white coat. A girl with black hair, and red eye's came out, “She is you new accomplish.”
Thones stood up to protest, “No way is hell! Tell me why I'm cover in blood! Why I was in the battle field, and what the hell you did to me!”, he yelled slamming his hands on the table.
“You will find out soon enough.”, he said, “Now as for Dark.....”
He was cut off by Thones, “Who's Dark!?”, he yelled. The man gave a signal and guards can in to restrain him.
“Place him in solitude till he will cooperate.”, he said. They dragged Thones to on of the jail seals and chained him to a wall. Thones was left there to hang.

(Yeah this one is all over the place, but a lot happens in this chappie! I know I'm the one typeing this but, Poor Thones!)
